Hamish graduated in 2019 from The University of Sheffield. Following his foundation year, he spent time working in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at Rotherham General Hospital developing his surgical skills. Hamish then carried out further training in the Restorative Department at Sheffield Dental Hospital, teaching undergraduate students and presenting at national and international conferences before returning home to Edinburgh.
He currently splits his time between working in General Practice and as a Specialty Dentist at Glasgow Dental Hospital within the Restorative Department. This split allows him an enjoyable combination of building familiarity and trust with regular patients, whilst also allowing him to provide complex care on a referral basis.
Hamish most enjoys treating cases of severe tooth wear and providing fixed and removable solutions for missing teeth.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and football between running around after his Boxer dog.
